    ABORKI, OBORKI

    1930: Aborki (“Oborki”), a khutor (hamlet) located 6.5 km south of the village Loknitsa in Lyelchitsy district. It does not exist now.An “abora” was the name for an ancient farm building (a large shed) for cows or a fenced-off paddock for livestock on a pasture. It is probable that the settlement was founded on the site of a cattle keeping facility, from which it got its corresponding name. The surrounding swamp has the same name, Aborki.

    SIMANICHY

    According to the redemption acts, the estate of Simanichy (3 revision souls of male servants) belonged to Ivan Vishneuski, and in Zalesse (34 souls of male peasants) of this estate — to Anton, Adam, Hipolit, Viktor, and Luciya Vishneuski. In total, 152 dessiatinas of suitable land and 33 dessiatinas of unsuitable land were allocated to the peasants. The total redemption loan amount was 1218 rubles and 25 kopecks.
