The name of the settlement transformed multiple times: Asinets – Asinske – Asenskiya – Asyanskoye – Asinskaye. Accordingly, the origin of the oikonym is interpreted in different ways. Thus, according to local legend, landowner Vishneuski began building a water mill on the Ubarts, and all the equipment for it had to be delivered from Mazyr – floated down the river. The landowner was advised to get everything done before autumn, before the rains started. And the Minsk governor, who was visiting Vishneuski, supposedly said: “Hurry up – autumn is coming soon.” The settlement next to the mill was therefore called – Asyanskoye (from “autumn” – “восень”). Such a folk etymology is doubtful.
It is more likely that the name of the settlement reflects the characteristic surrounding environment – an abundance of aspen trees (асіна – asina). In this process, it transformed: Asinets (Aspen place) – Asinskaye (Aspen-related) – Asyanskoye.
